What Golf Simulator Software Costs in 2026: Every Price, and the Third Bill
You budget for the launch monitor. You remember to budget for the software. Almost nobody budgets for the third invoice, from the company that built your launch monitor, charging you for permission to connect it to software you already bought.
A launch monitor has a price on a shelf. Simulator software has a price on a pricing page. Neither of those numbers is what indoor golf costs, because on several popular units there is a third charge sitting between them, and it is the one nobody puts in the spreadsheet.
We have spent the last week reading the device lists these platforms publish. This page is the other half: the money. Every figure below was read from the vendor's own page on August 5, 2026, except where a row says otherwise, and each of those exceptions says so out loud.
Every simulator software price, in one table
Prices are US dollars, exclusive of tax, at list. Where a platform sells more than one tier we list all of them, because the cheap tier is the one in the marketing and the expensive tier is the one people end up on.
| Software | Tier | Price | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| GSPro | Single licence | $250 | Per year |
| E6 by TruGolf | Improve | $150 | Per year |
| E6 by TruGolf | Play | $300 | Per year |
| E6 by TruGolf | Enjoy | $450 | Per year |
| Awesome Golf | Monthly | $14.99 | Per month |
| Awesome Golf | Annual | $159.99 | Per year |
| Awesome Golf | Lifetime | $349.99 | Once |
| TGC 2019 | PC licence | $949.00 | Once, via retailer |
| SkyTrak | Essential | $99.99 | Per year |
| SkyTrak | Core: Foresight | $249.99 | Per year |
| SkyTrak | Core: Trackman | $299.99 | Per year |
| SkyTrak | Elite | $499.99 | Per year |
| Uneekor | Player | $0 | Free |
| Uneekor | Pro | $199 | Per year |
| Uneekor | Champion | $399 | Per year |
| Uneekor | Ultimate | $599 | Per year |
| Foresight FSX | Silver, Gold, Unlocked | Not published | Not published |
Two things fall out of that table immediately. The cheapest way to put courses on a screen is Awesome Golf at $159.99 a year, and it is the only platform here selling a lifetime licence at all. The most expensive recurring line is SkyTrak's Elite membership at $499.99 a year, which costs more annually than GSPro and Uneekor's Pro package added together.
The third bill, and who sends it
Here is the part that does not appear on any product page. On several brands, buying the hardware and buying the software still does not get you a round of golf. The hardware maker wants an active subscription of its own before it will let your device talk to anything it did not write.
Uneekor is the clearest case, and it is Uneekor saying it. Its subscription page lists Play Third-Party Software as a feature of the Pro, Champion and Ultimate packages. It is not a feature of the free Player package. So a Uneekor owner who wants GSPro pays GSPro $250 a year and pays Uneekor $199 a year for the privilege of sending it data.
| Hardware brand | Extra subscription | Charged by | Required to connect? | Stated by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Uneekor | Uneekor Pro, $199/yr | Uneekor | Yes, for any third-party software | Uneekor |
| Foresight Sports | FSX Gold | Foresight | Yes | Awesome Golf |
| Bushnell | FSX Gold | Foresight | Yes | Awesome Golf |
| Rapsodo MLM2PRO | Rapsodo Premium, $199.99/yr | Rapsodo | Yes | Awesome Golf |
| FlightScope | Pro Package | FlightScope | No | Awesome Golf |
| Garmin | Garmin Golf Membership | Garmin | No | Awesome Golf |
| Square Golf | Launch Monitor Credits | Square Golf | No | Awesome Golf |
Read the last column carefully, because the scope of each claim differs. The Uneekor row is Uneekor's own general statement about third-party software. The other six rows are Awesome Golf stating the requirements for connecting to Awesome Golf specifically, in its licence documentation. We are not going to quietly stretch either one into a rule about every platform, because neither vendor said that.
The pattern is still hard to miss. The brands that gate connection are the ones with a subscription business to protect. The brands that do not gate it are the ones selling you a device and letting you get on with it.
A worked example, because the total is the point
Take the Uneekor EYE XO, currently $6,499. You want to play GSPro on it, which is the most common thing a Uneekor owner wants to do. Here is five years of ownership.
| Line item | Per year | Five years |
|---|---|---|
| Uneekor EYE XO hardware | $6,499 | |
| Uneekor Pro package | $199 | $995 |
| GSPro licence | $250 | $1,250 |
| Software subtotal | $449 | $2,245 |
| Total cost of ownership | $8,744 |
$2,245 of software on a $6,499 device, and slightly less than half of that goes to the company that already sold you the hardware. The EYE XO is a genuinely excellent overhead unit and none of this makes it a bad buy. It does make the shelf price a 74 percent answer to the question of what it costs.
Now the same exercise on a SkyTrak+, which is $1,995. Five years of the Elite membership at $499.99 is $2,499.95. The subscription passes the price of the hardware during year four, and by year five it has beaten it by $504.95. Elite is the top tier and nobody is forced onto it, but the option to spend more on the software than the device exists, is priced by the manufacturer, and is one dropdown away at checkout.
Subscribe or buy once: where the lines cross
Three of these platforms sell a one-time option. That is a genuinely different shape of decision, so here is the arithmetic rather than a vibe.
| One-time option | Price | Compared against | Breaks even after |
|---|---|---|---|
| Awesome Golf lifetime | $349.99 | Awesome Golf annual, $159.99 | About 26 months |
| Awesome Golf lifetime | $349.99 | GSPro, $250 a year | About 17 months |
| TGC 2019 licence | $949.00 | GSPro, $250 a year | About 46 months |
| TGC 2019 licence | $949.00 | E6 Enjoy, $450 a year | About 25 months |
| Rapsodo Premium lifetime | $599.99 | Rapsodo Premium annual, $199.99 | Exactly 36 months |
Every one of those paybacks lands inside four years, and most people keep a launch monitor longer than four years. On pure arithmetic the one-time licences win. The counter-argument is real though: lifetime means the lifetime of the company, and this category has not been around long enough for anyone to have tested that clause.
What Foresight will not tell you
One row of the big table says Not published, and it is not an oversight on our end. Foresight's own support page names three FSX tiers, Silver, Gold and Unlocked, and prints no price against any of them. Its help centre refuses automated reads. Meanwhile Awesome Golf's documentation says a Foresight or Bushnell unit will not connect without FSX Gold.
So the subscription is mandatory for that combination, and the only place a price appears is on somebody else's website. A retailer listing we cited in our Awesome Golf guide puts the renewal at $499 a year. We would rather quote Foresight directly. Foresight does not publish a number to quote.
Which software works with which device
Price is half the question and compatibility is the other half. We have read the device lists these platforms publish and written one page each, because the lists disagree with each other in ways that matter before you spend money.
- GSPro publishes the longest and most specific list in the category: 31 entries, given as model numbers rather than brand names, and SkyTrak is not on it.
- E6 by TruGolf claims 19 compatible devices and names 14, six of those as brands rather than models.
- Awesome Golf names 25 models across six brands, and its licence documentation is where the connection gates above are actually written down.
Each of those has its own page here, at /guides/launch-monitors-that-work-with-gspro, /guides/launch-monitors-that-work-with-e6-connect and /guides/launch-monitors-that-work-with-awesome-golf.
Questions people actually ask
What is the cheapest golf simulator software?
Of the platforms that publish a price, Awesome Golf at $159.99 a year, or $14.99 a month. Its lifetime licence at $349.99 is the cheapest long-run option in the category by a wide margin. Whether it will run on your device is a separate question, and the answer is on our Awesome Golf page.
Do I have to pay Uneekor to use GSPro?
On Uneekor's own account, yes. Its subscription page puts Play Third-Party Software in the Pro package at $199 a year and not in the free Player package. That is on top of GSPro's $250, for a running cost of $449 a year.
Is GSPro or E6 cheaper?
GSPro at $250 a year sits between E6's Improve tier at $150 and its Play tier at $300, and well under E6's full Enjoy tier at $450. If you want courses rather than practice tools, GSPro is $50 a year cheaper than the E6 tier that competes with it.
Can I buy simulator software outright instead of subscribing?
Three ways, as of today. TGC 2019 sells a PC licence at $949.00 through retailers. Awesome Golf sells a lifetime membership at $349.99. Rapsodo sells a lifetime Premium membership at $599.99. Everything else on this page is a recurring charge.
Does a launch monitor come with software included?
Usually a limited version of the maker's own app, and that is genuinely enough for a lot of people who only want numbers. Uneekor's free Player package gives you ball data, club data and a virtual driving range. What the free tier does not give you, on the brands listed above, is permission to connect to anybody else's course software.
The bottom line
Add three numbers before you buy, not two. The device, the course software, and whatever your hardware brand charges for the handshake between them. On a Uneekor that third number is $199 a year forever, and it is the one that never appears in a review.
